Does anyone know if there is a way to use SCCM 2012 R2 to determine if machines have Windows activated or not? We have found some Windows machines on our network that have not been activated. I would like to use SCCM 2012 R2 to find out if there are anymore Windows machines that have not been activated yet. For example, is there a way to make a configuration item that can check to see if Windows has been activated? Is there a value in the windows registry that says whether Windows is activated or not?

By default, no this is not collected and no to my knowledge its not anywhere in the registry. You can however easily add it to hardware inventory by adding the SoftwareLicensingProduct class (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc534596.aspx).
