Windows 7 build stuck at zticonfigure
Hello. My environment is SCCM 2007 SP2 with R3 and MDT 2010 Update integration. We use a custom database that contains keyboard, computer name, OU, etc settings. I use ztigather to get this information and update the unattend.xml using zticonfigure. I have a new site that I am having problems deploying Windows 7 at. The task sequence is hanging at the zticonfigure step. Everything in ztigather.log looks correct. When I examine zticonfigure.log, it has the below only. It is like it is stuck updating the unattend.xml. What is strange is that there is a site only a few miles away that is using almost the same settings and the build works properly there. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Microsoft Deployment Toolkit version: 5.1.1642.01 zticonfigure 10/10/2011 4:47:53 AM 0 (0x0000) The task sequencer log is located at X:\windows\TEMP\SMSTSLog\SMSTS.LOG. I found the problem. I used the /debug:true switch on the zticonfigure step. This allowed me to see exactly where it was hanging. I checked the ztigather log again and saw that it was passing an invalid value from an SQL table. I corrected it and the step completes now.
