Windows 7 and XP default profile
Hi, I’ve created a windows 7 (and XP) image using a capture media. I’ve notice however the regional settings were wrong. I just need to set the regional and keyboard settings for the default profile. I know that going in Control panel / Region and Language, in the “Administrative tab” and select “Copy settings” this will modify the default profile with the parameters I specified (ex: French keyboard). My question is will the capture media (and sysprep) scrap my modification to the default profile? In XP, it’s Control Panel / Regional and language Option / “Advanced” tab and tic “Apply all settings to the current user account and to the default user profile”. Do I really need to create an unattended.xml with AIK? Thanks, Jesmat.

The easiest way is to integrate SCCM with MDT and use it's ruling engine to set the regional settings at deployment time. Other than that, this is a good reading on the subject... Hi, Thanks for the info. I found this for Windows 7 http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1660-customising-windows-7-deployments-part-1/ For XP: When I put the Sysprep program on my reference PC, If I create a custom sysprep.ini and add only the section for the regional settings (see below), will the capture media overwrite my sysprep.ini file? Or will it add information to it? Or will it give me an problems because it will use only the custom Sysprep.ini file. Thanks Jesmat. Hi, I have added the above section to a sysprep.inf file and added it to the OSD task sequence in the "Apply Operating System" / "Use an unattended or sysprep answer file for a custom installation". This adds the information from my sysprep.inf file to the one generated by SCCM. Thanks, Jesmat.
