Hi I have installed and deployed clients on the windows 7 and vista sccm clients but when i deployed the windows patches it is getting installed but not getting information on the reports so what should i check .

Check if you are able to see the patches in Resource Explorer (add and remove programs). There might be cases where clients may not send the information to site server about the patch install also check the Software update point log files UpdatesDeployment.log and WUAhanlder.log. also check the default complaince reports for the computers reported back. //Eswar Koneti @ http://eskonr.wordpress.com/

Hi Yes, i checked the logs which you have mentioned but not showing the report. One thing i found is from the client MPlist and MPcert was not able to browse , any relation between this problem.

Do you see WUAhandler.log for installation of patches ? How did you deploy the patches ? along with Os deployment ? do you see the information about the pathes on the clients with resource explorer(add and remove programs if not run the hardawre inventory) ? Try running the full complaince scan cycle with VB script http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrsum/thread/f5c3c913-0eaf-4f52-814d-b62e93fb772e //Eswar Koneti @ http://eskonr.wordpress.com/

IF the enforce state is unknown----client has not reported back to MP.Can you try running the software update scan cycle on the clients from control panel? or you can use the script to run it and check the WUAHandler.log file for any errors. //Eswar Koneti @ http://eskonr.wordpress.com/

just monitor the software update logs (WUAhanlder.log ) for any errors( Red or yellow color) to see if the scan cycle ran or not. ensure the client is healty(did you see if it able to send inventory data to MP) ? //Eswar Koneti @ http://eskonr.wordpress.com/

Hi, Did this happen on some specific computers or all the computers? If you cannot browse through MP URL from client, try to reinstall MP to see whether it can fix your issue: 1. Uninstall the management point. 2. Uninstall the IIS component. 3. Restart the computer. 4. Uninstall Webdav. 5. Install IIS component, and enable BITS. 6. Install Webdav, and configurate it. If you used Windows Server 2008 as the site server, see this article and make sure the webdev was enabled and configured: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc431377.aspx Make sure BITS IIS server extension are installed http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753301.aspx 7. Install management point. 8. Verify the management point was installed successfully in the MPSetup.log. 9. Browse through MP URL from Client machines Url to check MP is working or not: http://smsservername/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist - if page display MP list, MP is working fine. http://smsservername/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mpcert - if a longstring appears, MP is working fine. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
