Windows 7 Temp folder within capture
Hi, I've recently tried to recapture Windows 7 with IE9 slipstreamed into the install. The capture works fine however I've notice when the image is redeployed using OSD that the following folder is created: C:\Users\ADMINI~1\Appdata\local\temp The folder is there before any user logs onto the machine, and remains even after the local administrator logs in for the first time. The folder is empty and can easily be deleted however I can't work out why its happening? Obviously this temp location exists on the captured machine as this is a main temp location store however why is this being re-created onto new machines with a new time stamp. Can anyone shed some light here? Thanks, Doug

Hi Niall, I've checked over the older captures and this wasnt present. To give some more back ground information here I'm capturing a reference machine after making a few customisations such as reg key changes and a few file removals. The capture is the done using the create capture media and started from there. The temp location is also where the TS log is stored when the capture begins. I'll try again without IE9 to see double check though. Cheers, Doug

I've managed to resolve this by manually running sysprep and then booting into a WinPE environement and capturing a WIM using imagex, i don't end up with any empty TEMP folders. Thanks, Doug
