Windows 7 Task Sequence Join Domain failing
Im testing the capture and deployment process of Windows 7 64 bit prior to building a full reference image and capturing that. My deployment task sequence is; Install OS - Restart in Windows PE - Partition Disk 0 - Get Computer Name - Apply OS - Apply Windows Settings - Apply Network Settings - Apply Dell 780 Driver Pack Setup OS - Setup windows and ConfigMgr The image is deployed to the Dell Optiplex 780 machine ok and the drivers applied, SCCM agent installed ok, but as part of the Apply Network Settings task it is configure to join the domain, with the credentials of a full domain admin account, and I have left the OU part blank so in theory it should add to the Computers container as it used to when we deployed any XP image. Has anybody had similar issues and what did you find to be the problem? I have looked in c:\windows\debug\netsetup.log and it doesnt have any information at all from the date of running task sequence, just the original logging when I joined the vanilla install Windows 7 Enterprise x64 to the domain for a short while so Im a little confused and unsure where (or what log files) I need to be looking at to diagnose what is or isnt happening. Thanks Chris

Thanks for the fast reply Niall, looking at the log file in trace32 I cant see anything in red indicating any major problems but the part Im thinking is the join to domain task shows as; !--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------!
