Windows 7 Cannot Access Network Share

Hello everyone,

I'd like your help with the following...

I've set up a new Windows 7 computer, joined the domain, installed all updates from microsoft update but I'm having trouble connecting to a network share on a Windows 2012 R2 server. The message says I don't have permission.

I can connect using the Administrator account but not using another administrator account or a standard user account.

Using the above accounts I had no problem with Windows XP.

Also, there are specific shares on the server that I cannot access.

Moreover, I have disabled UAC on both the server and the computer but the problem persists.

I checked the share and NTFS permissions on the share and everything is seems to be fine.

Thank you in advance.

Probably was a permissions issue, I added the user manually to the NTFS permissions and she had access. Then I removed those permissions and she still has access.

Hi,

As you mentioned, I also suspect a permission issue. what kind of permissions have you set for sharing and NTFS? I would suggest you add "Everyone" or "Authenticated users" to the permission list, grant full control permissions as test, then check the result.

I'd given Everyone full access on the sharing permissions but the NTFS are more complicated.

I cannot grant full access to the users since they must not view files they don't have permission to view.
