All updates failed in windows 7 64 bits. I Re installed my windows with a genuine windows 7  with service pack 1 - 32 bits.  It was clean install to Factory default

yet I an having the same problems. I have transferred all essential files to my other computer which is working satisfactorily. I can now do any thing on this computer without fear of losing any valuable documents.

My windows are set to Automatic downloads and updates..  When opened windows update and clicked SEARCH for updates, I get a message "YOU MUST FIRST INSTALL AN UPDATE FOR WINDOWS UPDATE" I clicked INSTALL NOW.  Then I get an error ox8024402c  This computer is also slow. For the last three months I am not using this computer for any of my personal tasks. I am only trying to set the windows update. Can any one please help?
