Windows 10 PPP / Dial-up problem

Hello,

I try to take control of a Linux machine remotely using a pppd connection through a modem (US Robotics 5637 driver up to date).
The authentication method I use is "pap".
Since migrating to Windows 10, the connection fails. in "Verifying user and password".
I used the pbk file I created on Windows 7 (which runs on XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 8.1) and does not work in W10.
I recreated a connection by W10 assistant without success.
I try this solution: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking/windows-10-dial-up-problem/81a1c888-440e-4fa0-bc71-dccff4e5cf22 (without success)
and this : "sfc /scannow"

Besides editing the IP parameters of the connection fails. When I click the button nothing happens.

Do you have a solution for this problem?

Sorry for my english, i hope that this is understandable.

Best regards,

Julien

Hi Julien,

Thank you for your question.

We could refer to the following steps to check if the issue persist:

1. Use the different accounts (local administrator)
2. Turn off Windows firewall
3. We could re-download remote desktop connection:

Hi,
Thanks for your answer!
I have tried your solution but it's not worked. My connection is always blocked at authentication.
I precise that i use the ras client. Do you have any link for re-install it?
Have you got another solution?
Regards
Julien

Hi Picca,

Did you mean Windows 10 could not connect to Linux box by RDC.

If that, we suggest you re-install RDC by link which I have supplied to check if the issue persist.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
