Win PE 3 in an NLB
Hello folks We have a scenario where we have a load balanced MP and are trying to deploy an OS. WinPE boots and gets an IP. Tries to connect to FQDN of NLB and all is good. SMSTS.LOG then shows socket 'connect' failed; 8007274c after a wait We look at the web logs of the MP and it shows that policy IS being downloaded to the client, but it shows that requests to Windows_Auth are getting 401.1 and 401.2 messages - which is cannot agree on authentication. We DO have a NAC defined but at this point the requests *should* be anonymous. Setting Windows_Auth to anonymous authentication lets us move on but the same error shows at SMS_CCM Not happy with all that re-permissioning, so can someone offer some advice? TIA

Just as a followup to this - we're seeing 80072ee2 (timeout) messages in SMSTS.LOG too Does PE have a problem with NLB?

Hello again folks Right . . . moved into a single NIC NLB and enabled multicast mode and the client is now downloading and uploading as appropriate. Looks like this is resolved.
