Win 7 x86 Task Sequence Fails on one model Dell Optiplex 380 : Error: 0x4005(16389)

We are able to do multiple OSD Task Sequences throughout our district, but there's a lab I try to image and every one of them fail with the following error message:

Error: 0x4005(16389)

If I PXE boot it, it works perfectly...no problem whatsoever.

The system has the client, and obviously has XP SP3.

I'm at a loss and not sure where to go from here.

I don't see any smstslog files, for it starts the task sequence and almost immediately fails.

Thoughts?

Where do you see this error? Is it from a log or during the pxe phase ....

hello sir and thank you for replying,

this happens when the client (in windows) grabs the policy and starts the OSD task sequence.  It never restarts, it generally just fails seconds after starting the task sequence from within windows.

If i restart the computer and boot from network, it completes the task sequence perfectly through a PXE boot/OSD TS.

but, If I deploy this to this collection of computers as a required client TS, it fails with the above mentioned error

i'm stumped.
