Hi ! Reports in report manager are all accessible to any users who ever given appropriate permission in SQL as well in Report Manager. How can it be taken to Internet ? Like in a live website, giving the link to the report in the report manager will it be displaying the reports ? blindly its not possible.. But is there a way to achieve this ? If so kindly let me know. Thanks !--------------------------- Radhai Krish | Golden Age is no more far | --------------------------

No, I would not give an access over an internet to SSRS, but within a application I would develop local .rdlc filesBest Regards, Uri Dimant SQL Server MVP http://dimantdatabasesolutions.blogspot.com/ http://sqlblog.com/blogs/uri_dimant/

Hi Radhai, As said by Uri, SSRS over the internet is not recommended but it can be done. I am assuming you are using SQL 2008 or later You need to decide if you require authentication or not. If you do you will need to use basic authentication over an SSL connection and should check out the following: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc281309.aspx If you require anoymous access, this is not supported in 2008 but can be enabled. The following blog post will help get you started: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/jameswu/archive/2008/07/15/anonymous-access-in-sql-rs-2008.aspx Alternatively, depending on your requirements, you could consider another approach such as using a VPN. It all depends on your environment and requirements. Regards SteveSteve Flynn
