Why has 'Username' label become 'User name' on sign in Dialog?

I am testing a custom-credential provider with the Windows 10 TCP (build 9926). This mostly works except that the 'submit' button does not appear next to the 'Username' field when our credential provider is installed. On investigating why this may be so, I have determined that up to Windows 8, the label of the username field was 'Username', now it has become 'User name' (notice the space). I don't know yet whether this is what is causing my problem but has this been changed by accident or planned?

Are there any other changes to the Credential provider architecture that I should be aware of? i.e. changes to GUIDs etc.?

I'm not sure, but as far as I know, since Windows 7, the label of UserName field was "User name". There is indeed some changes of Windows Credentials Provider since Windows 8 and you can refer to the document below for more details:
