Why doesnt the header row stay visible while scrolling!?!?!?!
Hi all, When I create a standard tablix report as opposed to a matrix, I can't get the header column to stay visible while scrolling. I have a detail report that is a drill down from a summary report. there are 25 columns and could have 1,000 or more rows, when scolling down, the headers should remain visible. I checked repeat Header on each page as well as Keep header visible. What am I missing here? There is nothing to group on for this report, since this is pure details. TIA, Joe

Hi, Just for confirmation did you check "Keep header visible while scrolling" for both Row and Column groups!! Pavan Kokkula Tata Consultancy Services.

Yes I did Are you using 2008/R2 then you need to set fixed data property for static header member to true too. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb934257(v=sql.100).aspx Thanks . Rajkumar Yelugu

i read that article before and I followed all instruictions but does not help. I am just going to create matrix reports use a unique column as the rows change the color of the group to clear and set the columns not to scroll only the header row to scroll. It works... thanks again

Also, make sure you do all this for both reports (I presume you mean 'drill-through' rather than 'drill-down' as you refer to a separate report).I work to UK time. Hi Jaylou, Although you mark your workaround as answer, here I still want to give you some tips to this requirement, as we have solution to this requirement beside your workaround. We can set FixedData to true for keeping headers visible in Advanced Mode. For the detail steps please see Robert's professional blog at this link for this topic http://blogs.msdn.com/b/robertbruckner/archive/2008/10/13/repeat-header-and-visible-fixed-header-table.aspx Thanks, Challen Fu Forum Support If you have feedback for TechNet Subscriber Support, please contact us Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.

Thanks Challen, I changed so many things yesterday, and I think I tried all that as well :). I will revisit this on my next report. As of now I used my workaround for this set of reports. Thanks again for your help, Joe
