Why does the RSS viewer web-part only show 1 list item?
Hi,So we have a list with 10 items and it is RSS enabled. We have a RSS viewer web part which renders the list title only.No items.RSS is enabled and correctly configured everywhere in IE - it's on at site collection level - site level - list level. The RSS settings for the list are configured to show a maximum of 5 items with an expiry date that should show everything. But we only have the title. No items and all settings are as they should be according to blogs/msdn/technet - at least all settings you config in the web part properties and site admin...So - any ideas? Thanks,Steve

Hi Steve, Sorry that I don’t quite understand your issue. After enable RSS feeds and add RSS webpart, how many items update you can see in this webpart? By default you can see 5 update. If your problem is that the updated items only include title then I’m afraid that this is by-design behavior. The RSS Viewer web part will just display the tile of the new entry. If you check the box “Show feed title and description”, then it will display the tile and description of all feeds. Hi Lu, The RSS web part only shows the title of the list it does not show any items in the list.We do not get the title of the items! Only the list title is shown....We only see 1 bit of text and this is the name of the list itself! This links back to the list. The list has multiple items none of which are shown in the RSS feed.Yes I know that only the item title is shown in the RSS and not the body but we do not get the item title - we only get the list title shown!Do you see what I mean? Is there anywhere I can upload a screenshot? That would make this so much easier but i do not see anywhere that i can attach a .jpg.Thanks,Steve
