Why does a Web App stop serving pages?
I have a small farm running MOSS 2007 Ent 32 bit, Windows 2003 R2. Farm = 1 Web/app server (VM), 1 Search Index server/app, hosting CA (VM), 1 SQL 2008 on Server 2008 (P). This farm has multiple web apps that are not experincing the problem. The problem web app is extended and using ADFS\CAC authentication, however; I do not see how that can be related as the other apps are all configured the same way. Problem: Twice a week one of the web apps stops serving pages, there is no descriptive error only "Page Cannot be Displayed". To resolve the problem I have to reboot the web server, restarting IIS will not resolve the problem. What is odd to me is that I am not seeing the problem in Test\Dev nor are the other apps on the farm having the problem. There are some .Net errors in the EVT logs, however; they referencing the other web applications that are not having the problem. I do have Event Throttling set "All"~ "Verbose" and I do not seem to be trapping the "trigger". Any help would be greatly appreciated this is a tuff one. Regards, Dennis
