Why does BHold install require Domain Admins to install?
I didn't spend a whole lot of time looking for the answer but it seems like a very relevant question. In the Bhold deployment it states "BHOLD Core must be installed by a user logged on with an account in the same domain as the server and which belongs to the Domain Admins group in the domain and to the Administrators group on the server." Hi Paul, Good question, it never used to be a prerequisite in the 'older' versions of BHOLD. The thing that has changed is that during the installation of BHOLD Core prerequisites are checked (like service account memberships, access rights and other things) which might cause the need for being a domain administratior.Remy de Vries Technical Consultant Elephant Security

Thanks Remy! It's a real problem and all of my clients are very security savy and will ask why. I would be remiss if I did not disclose this to my client(s) before they possibly paid for an upgrade to R2. I had a discussion with Mircrosoft at the Partner Summit a couple of weeks ago and they were under the impression it may be a documentation bug. I hope it get's addressed soon or I will have to spend time reverse engineering what is actually going on. Either way, it's a big deal for me and I wish MS would see it that way too. Thanks again!Paul N Smith
