Why SCCM?
Hi, I was going to ask if there are any of you that would be nice to tell me what my IT environment could have the advantage of SCCM. We have about 200 servers that we would need to have a WSUS solution for, but in addition it can benefit me by SCCM? Can I run scripts on the servers, push out Citrix-patches and so on? It would be so nice if you could give me some good reasons why I should choose to install SCCM in my environment. I also wonder how SCOM and SCCM are working together. We have SCOM installed today. Thanks in advance. Regards Tobbe

If you are asking about software inventory, yes, there are dozens of canned reports about installed software, and if the canned reports are not enough, ConfigMgr is a SQL backend and you can leverage SQL Reporting Services Reporting (SRS) to get very detailed reports. Regarding SCOM integration, there is a SCOM Management Pack specifically for monitoring your ConfigMgr installed environment. Standardize. Simplify. Automate.
