When logging to SharePoint remotely from my computer I get an error "You do not have permissions required to acess this site...".
If I keep trying to access the site multiple times eventually it will let me in. Now this only happens on my computer, if I try to log in from a different computer, I do not have a problem. My computer is running Windows 7. The other computer is running Windows XP. The administrator of the SharePoint has tried my log in id and password on other computers and he does not have a problem. I have tried changing the trusted sites, intranet sites, change local security and noting is helping...anyone??

Adding the site to trusted or even intranet zone should help. But I've also seen this type of thing where it is profile related. If this doesn't help then step two is to clear your internet cache. In IE click Tools the click the Settings Button on the Browsing History section of the first tab. In the dialog make sure your uncheck "Preserve Favorite Website Data" (otherwise if you've bookmarked the WSS site it will not remove the data). Make sure that you have Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, and History checked. Then hit OK then click the Delete button. Next shut down all IE windows and then reopen one and try SharePoint. If this still doesn't work, Check for any proxy servers and disable them. Tools | Internet Options | Connections Tab | LAN Settings Make sure everything here is unchecked. Close IE and reopen and test. If this still doesn't work, then reboot the PC and log in as another account with Admin rights. Rename your profile c:\users\<yourUserName> Now log off the box and log on as yourself. This should create a new profile (but don't worry your old profile is still there). Now test. If you have resolved the problem, your IE Profile is corrupted and just move your data and settings from the old profile to the new one. If the problem persists, its likely a machine problem. As your IT department to reimage or reload Windows 7. Also, once you are logged onto WSS keep in mind that the WebClient Service works differently in Vista/Win7 than it did in XP. It no longer keeps persistent connections so you are often challenged for credentials when you access and edit files, even though you've authenticated to WSS already. This is by design according to the Windows team. There is a registry hack to revert back to the prior behavior. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943280 This link will help you with that.
