Hi, If you select Server Only or Client Only will tick the checkbox of "Verify discovered computer can be contacted" Server and Client will give you the option to Verify connection while discovering or Don't verify.. this because the nature of clients, which might be offline/disconnected while the time of discovery Hope this explains.. Thanks Mazen. This information is helpful. but more specifically i wanted to know what are these Servers and/or Clients? in other words, how are they defined in SCOM; are they machines/Desktops/servers or something else - What is the definition of these servers and/or clients in scom? Thanks & regards, Sumit Agrawal

Hi Sumit, Actually is a matter of organizing the computers discovery, if they are all servers, so they should be all UP and Contacted, If mix Servers and Clients, then you have the option to verify if you need to check they are contacted.. or not, as some Clients might be offline or disconnected at the discovery time,, It is all about the discovery behavior..Regards, Mazen Ahmed
