What is the impact of Group Policy controlling windows 10 download and install

The majority of our users are connected to our local Domain, We currently have group policy control windows updates rather than WSUS.

We have already researched that the "reserve your copy" icon  wont appear due too a optional update which has not been downloaded and installed.

But what will be the impact of group policy controlling windows updates reference windows 10 download and install, will we have to do the download and install manually per device or will group policy be over ridden and Win 10 be forced down as an official update and installed rather than an optional ??

Are we to get ready and expect to walking in on the 29th and everyone sat there waiting for windows 10 to be installed when they turn their machines on ??

many Thanks Cheers :)

With all due respect, having your employees sitting around waiting for installation is a pretty dumb idea, unless it is like 5 or 10. Have some employees with pertinent training satay behind to install after hours. That way if there are any hiccups they can be dealt handled without the employee being paid to sit on there or complaining in your ears.

How many users are you speaking about anyways?

Hi Neil,

How did you control the Windows Update via Group Policy?

If you block it via the group policy, I don't think it would be pushed to your every user.

If you dispatch it from your server side, it's fine.
