Hi Sudhir77_, As a SharePoint Admin, you must have the ability to solve common problems of SPS. You will be ask to back up the data on the server regularly, manage users and groups. And sometimes you will need to deploy some related products with SPS. So, in addition to understanding of SPS, an administrator also should be familiar with database and Office related products. Here are some articles from Microsoft Library, you can get the detailed answers from them: Configure Excel Service: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263517(office.12).aspx; Configure Search Service: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262700(office.12).aspx; Configure BDC: http://blogs.technet.com/b/harmeetw/archive/2009/07/01/configuring-bdc.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0. Hope this could help you. Regards.

> hey anyone pls reply on my question - NEVER post a bump so quickly after posting the original question. - Even when thinking about bumping after a few days, consider the weekends as zero days. (Here this was at a holiday weekend when there was even less traffic than at normal weekends) - A bump without giving additional information is usually pointless. (Moderator pre-2010 forums)SP 2010 "FAQ" (mainly useful links): http://wssv4faq.mindsharp.com/default.aspx WSS3/MOSS FAQ (FAQ and Links) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com/default.aspx Both also have links to extensive book lists and to (free) on-line chapters
