I have a ts called restore, and it works fine if I boot the machine to pxe and run it like that. 0 errors completes successfully. If there is an OS already on the box and and I run the same restore TS here is what happens. 1.Advertisement is accepted 2.Boots to winpe 3.Captures windows settings 4.Captures Network settings 5. Partitions and formats the drive ( using whole drive) 6 Hits Apply operating system and eventually errors out. I'll try what you suggested but why does the same TS using the same boot image work flawlessly when the machine is PXE booted? The issue only occurs when there is an existing os on the machine that I am trying to image? cannot ping the FQDN of the management point, I can ping the ip of the ConfigMgr server and I can ping the name of the ConfigMgr server without the FQDN EXAMPLE: PING W2K8-DC1 works ping w2k8-dc1.clivebuckwheat.local no response. Pxe booting the computer running the same task, always works and the imaging kicks off, it is only when I run the TS when there is an existing os on the computer that's when the problem start.

It looks like you have DNS issues there, since the client could not resolve FQDN names.
