What's in DMPSetup.log then? The status messages told you that this log will contain more information.
The other status messages tell you that Webdav is not configured correct. Make sure to follow
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc431377.aspx exactly (given that the MP is installed on Server 2008).Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

This is the problem, it says that i dont have the WebDAV installed but as you can see i have!
SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER 4970 SMS Site Component Manager faild to install component SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER on server SCCM1. The WebDAV server extension is either not installed or not configured properly.
Solution: Make sure WebDAV is installed and enabled. Make sure there is an authoring rule that allow "All users" read access to "All content". Make sure the WebDAV settings "Allow anonymous property queries" and "Allow property queries with infinite depth"
are set to "true" and "Allow Custom Properties" is set to false. 4648 4312

Remove the MP, remove WebDav and IIS, reboot, add IIS/WebDav, reboot, install the MP again.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

Hi Clint
First you need to remove all itens that torsten said but before you install mp again you need to download this ConfigMgr tool:
ConfigMgr 2007 Toolkit V2 (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=9257)
Install this tool and run MPTROUBLESHOOTER in this sequence
1 - Management Point Pre Instalation (in this option you can verify if your mp have all pre reqs)
after you install your mp run the option above
2 - Management Point Post Instalation (in this option you can verify if your mp instaled sucessfull)
Hope that help you!

Just to verify, this is Windows Server 2008 and not Windows Server 2008 R2, correct?
