Web services
I have two quick questions re. web services - Does ILM "2" open SOAP interfaces native sothat a client can be built quicklywith a .wsdl file?Is it true that clients written for RC will not work with RTM (or now FIM 2010)? I am new to web services so what kind ofwork effort are we talking here - is it something like changing configurations, recompiling vs. complete re-writes?Thanks.Anu

It is easy to build a web service client. How to build one is described here: http://blogs.msdn.com/imex/archive/2008/11.aspx There will be some changes between RC and RTM. Not dramatic changes, but there will be some changes. They are described here: http://blogs.msdn.com/imex/archive/2009/01/22/changes-in-web-services-from-rc-to-rtm.aspx /Andreas -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Andreas, thanks. I got most of the samples working.Mynext question - supposeI develop and deploy my custom webservice clients which make use of WSTransfer, WSEnumeration and TEIMO in the same environment/server as my core ILM deployment then can I assume I will have no outstanding security concerns to worry about? Thanks. Also, wonderingwhy all of youranswers/replies in this forum are duplicated?Anu

I can't think of any security issues running a client on the server. The duplication is a feature of the newsgroup. The newsgroup will first show the question and then any post marked as an answer. It will then show the entire thread. You can change this behavior in "My Settings" to the right./AndreasThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
