Sharepoint site : http://intra.abc.com/SitePages/MainPage.aspx which is user authenticated SCSM user portal : https://support.abc.com/enduser which is also authenticated Google Public site : http://www.google.com via proxy server which is our TMG2010 server how i have made web application monitor from the authoring panel following the below steps : 1) New monitoring wizar > Web Application > Name : INTRA & management pack named "ABC" 2) give the url http:// > intra.abc.com/SitePages/MainPage.aspx > 3) in the watcher node i select the sharepoint server itself (where its hosted) 4) check mark the configure advance monitoring option & Create the site. 5) goto Configure Settings > Set authentication to NTLM > user account : Local System Windows Account & click OK / apply / close ( im confused here.... how do i tell which account to use ??? & i want to use a domain account.. !! ) now i goto monitoring > make a new state view > select the INTRA > specify the group where iv added the server and show all state.. in the monitoring window it only shows the name of the monitor i made with no green or red mark to show the health... where am i going wrong ? if i do a test on the URL while in the wizard , it gives me 401 which is access denied , how do i solve this ? also do i have to enable the monitoring object INFRA i just made anywhere else ??? a lil help plz..Zaid

hi Dan, i made a seperate folder > new state view > then added the web application monitor INTRA i made from the wizard.. this state view shows the monitor's name but the columns for its "state" disappears... so i cant make out in a glance if the web application is ok or not.. its when i click the monitor and check the details in the bottom where i see a small green check mark that indicates its ok .. normally with other type of monitors eg service monitoring , rules, when i add them in a state view , it shows me the "state" column which is either red cross or green check mark.Zaid
