Web Part Ordering
I've added a web part from the sidebar to the left column and another to the right column. However, SharePoint adds these widgets to the top level of each column. How can move them down one? I am using SharePoint 2007 as provided by the university.

You can edit the web part you added. Then go to the [on Edit] (new) right-hand part of your screen and amend the location of the web part in the column. (If you want it to be at the bottom giving a value of 10 is usually enough - it all depends on the values of the other web parts in the same column) Moderator (moving to Admin as this is OOB functionality) --------------------------------------------------------------------- The details of this are 1. Site Actions and Select Edit Page 2. Go to the web part and select Edit followed by Modify Shared Web Part 3. Go to the new right-hand column and select Layout. There amend the Zone Index to 10. 4. OK followed by Exit Edit Page. Note: if it still isn't at the bottom of the column or exactly where you want it in the column you will need to see which Zone Index values the other web parts in the same column (=Zone in the right-hand modify web part box) have and if necessary follow the same method to adjust their values so that this web part slots in where you want it to be.
