We had several Exchange 2010 mailboxes get quarantined but SCOM never alerted
I see there is both a rule and a monitor for these events; both are enabled yet they never fired. Why not?

Can you please supply more info on your environment? What version of SCOM are you using? Is the exchange management pack functioning correctly for other alerts? Can you see the mailbox store being discovered in the discovered items view? It's doing common things uncommonly well that brings succes.

SCOM 2007 R2, Version 6.1.7221.0 I have 2 management servers. Monitoring 132 servers; most of these are Exchange Server 2010 SP2 RU2. Agents are across the globe but all report back to one MS. As far as I know Exchange has been working, but seeing that this alert failed to be raised, I question how well it really is. We get plenty of other alerts. Yes, our mailbox stores are discovered. I have all MPs and updates installed and fine tuned. Just recently installed the latest Exchange pack, Exchange Server 2010 14.3.38.2.

The MP was recently pulled - I would pull it too until they fix it. Theres many threads on this. See Kevin Holman's blog as well.

Thanks Julia, I knew the MP had been pulled and found information posted on the blogs.technet site about problems as a result that mailboxes were getting quarantined for no reason. I did the workaround suggested. I didn't realize there were more issues, but will take a closer look at Kevin's blog. http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2012/06/28/mailboxes-on-a-database-are-quarantined-in-an-environment-with-system-center-operations-manager.aspx
