Wake On LAN through SCCM 2007 SP2
Sending the packet is only part of the process. The network still has to deliver it which is beyond ConfigMgr's control. What kind of WoL are you using: Unicast or Broadcast? Each has its own idiosyncrosies.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | Twitter @JasonSandys

i have configured Wake on LAN on my sccm server. allowed the UDP port 9. enabled the Wake On LAN feature while distributing a software. enabled WAKE on LAN on the BIOS setting of the Client machine. also enabled it on the Network Adapter(NVIDIA nforce networking controller), on advanced tab i have enabled wake on magic packet and wake on magic pattern.on power management tab i have checked "allow this device to wake on this machine","allow thsi computer to turn off thsi device to save power","only allow a magic packet packet to wake this computer". advertise a software with mandatory schedule. still the machine doesnot turned on either from sleep mode or from complete turn off state. can any body help.. thanks Gaurav Ranjan

Have you performed a check with another WOL tool to verify that WOL is configured correctly on the network? 1E has a tool you can use to test - http://www.1e.com/downloads/freetools/index.aspxKent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

it's been showing in the WOL activity report that the magic packet has been successfully sent. the report which SCCM reporting says :- magic packet started sending at 10:47 am magic packet sent successfully at 12:47 pm but the main thing is that i have advertised the software at a schedule time of 12:00 noon, but it shows that the packaet has been sent successfully at 12:47 pm. will it be the case for the improper functioning of WOL.
