WSUS importing an update
I was missing an MS update so I (I have wsus installed on the same server as sccm) went to wsus an did an import, then went back to sccm 2012 an did a sync (this has been for two days now) and it does not

There is another thread somewhere here in the forums indicating that this is an unsupported practice (based on a call to CSS) and that although it does seem to work sometimes, sometimes it doesn't. I can't tell you any more details other than it wasn't explicitly designed to actually work so YMMV.

Your best bet is to deploy the update like you would any other package/applications or use SCUP (although SCUP doesn't directly support MSUs -- because WSUS doesn't -- do you'll have to jump through a few hoops there).

So what your saying is wsus imports rarely work for SCCM, well thats great.  Is SCUP free?

It's possible the update could have been superseded already. Those updates will get filtered during synchronization.

Yes, SCUP is free.

Yes, I've used SCUP before. It's more or less a packaging tool that imports those packages and metadata about those packages directly into Software Updates. As mentioned, the process for MSUs is not very good though because WSUS doesn't natively support them. If you can get hold of the exe from Windows Update though...
