WSS site configured to use ADFS authentication gives problem while trying to use open with windows explorer.
Hi All, I have created a wss site and configured it to use ADFS authentication. Everything is working fine except I can not open the document library (i.e. pages ) in windows explorer. At first the site authenticates against the ADFS server but when trying to open the windows explorer it asks for credential and tries to log in to the site but fails and gives error saying *sitename@SSL\DavWWWRoot is not accessible you might not have permission to use this network resource. The functionality of opening library in windows explorer is very necessary for us. Any help is appreciated. Thanks and Regards, Dinesh

Hi Dinesh, As far as I know, Web Folders (such as by using Network Places) which rely on the DAV redirector, will no longer work as expected. Web folders are typically created in order to have a file explorer view of a site or document library to easily copy and move files. Using this feature when SharePoint is working with ADFS is not supported. For more information about which unsupported features are not supported when SharePoint is integrated with ADFS, please refer to the following article: Windows SharePoint Services, SharePoint Portal Server 2003, and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Support boundaries for Active Directory Federation Services http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912492/en-us Hope this helps. Thanks for your reply. Can we develope a application which will upload folders to the WSS site? I have code which works with normal site but does not work with ADFS configured site. Is there some way through which we can establish connection to ADFS server and upload Folders using code?
