WSS Error: The given key was not present in the dictionary
Hello, After sending a calendar invitation to my sharepoint calendar in WSS 3.0 I receive this message in the log file: An error occurred while processing the incoming e-mail file C:\inetpub\mailroot\Drop\FS1-W2K8-1002-20091020144110Z.Normal.eml. The error was: The given key was not present in the dictionary. The file did appear in the Drop folder and disappeared again. After this I can't find the calendar item in my sharepoint calendar. I only have this problem with sending an calendar invitation. When I send a 'normal' message to an other page (for example: documents) it appears at my sharepoint site as it has to. I searched google and the technet forum for this but there seems to be no solution..... Thanks in advance. Bram

Hi Since incoming email works fine for other page, I think it can be narrowed down to the calendar list. What about another calendar list? If this issue only occurs on this calendar list, you can create a new one to avoid this issue. Best Regards!

Hello Lily Wu,Thanks for your answer. I already tried to make another calendar list and I also tried to add one ofthe emailaddresses (which works on an other page) to a new calendar page. This also has no result, I still don't see the calendar items.I did discover the following:When I send ancalendar invitationfrom my gmail account I do receive the item in my calendar. The format in which gmail sendsthe invitationis iCal. Office 2007, which we use in our company, is using the ICS format. Do I have to change something in outlook 2007 or maybe on my Exchange server? Is it possible that it has something to do with the format of the calendar item? The ICS format is not displayed in the 'blocked file types' list in WSS, so it isn't blocked.I also can't change the settings in Outlook 2007 to send the invitation in iCal format because this option is grey.Maybe it has something to do with the dictionary because I get this error message in the log file:"The given key was not present in the dictionary."Thanks in advance.Best regards,Bram

Hi Bram1234 I am not sure what cause this issue. Since I make it work on my SharePoint calendar, I want to share you this note. You can have a check. Create a new Appointment or a Meeting Request on Outlook 2007 and then send it to the calendar list. However, if you create a new mail message and then send it to calendar, the message will appear on mail drop folder but will not show up in calendar list. Let me know the results! Thanks!Best Regards!
