WSS 3.0 vs. MOSS 2007 - Active Directory groups, security, membership,
I have a simple question that I'm sure will garner a quick answer. Does WSS 3.0 support AD security groups? I've searched for a while all over the net and can't get a straight answer. This is the deciding factor between WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007 (or newer). We do not want to have to setup user permissions in two areas (AD and SP for example). Any help would be greatly appreciated!Computer Systems Specialist

Hi, Yes - WSS 3.0 does support AD Groups. Although there is an option for using SharePoint groups it is not mandatory! hth,Chirag Patel, MCTS Blog: techChirag.com Twitter: @techChirag
