How can a document in a WSS3 library open with Word viewer as opposed to Word (both are installed)? I've changed the file type so .doc and .docx files open with Word viewer when opened from Windows Exploer, which didn't help. Thanks

You can try changing the program settings in the options of Internet Explorer. As I said, it was something to try, but I didn't think it would work. When you open a word file the process is kicked off by code on the sharepoint server.
