While trying to install the SCOM 2012 SP1 (beta!!) version on windows 2012 and sql 2012 I got a lot of errors which blocked from continuing. FOr instance the .net framework is too high it seems, and at some point a fix would be to uninstall that and follow a different order, however next to that its builtin if you remove the checkbox of the feature it also removes about every other feature (including the gui). SO thats where I stopped that test. So installing is still on windows 2008 r2 sp1. The scom 2012 sp1 version will be able to install an agent on a 2012 box and monitor it (with a newer management pack for 2012 Servers). I have not tried what happens if you take an existing running scom 2012 (or higher) on win 2008r2sp1 and in-place upgrade it to windows 2012. In any case its not supported, but if you have time and a test environment you could try and post your results. Hi Pratap You can install a SCOM 2012 agent onto a windows server 2012 RC server but not core SCOM components.
