Hi, I would like to know what is WebFrontEndServer(WFE),1 Admin Server,1QueryServer,1Index Server. Are there any differences with WFE and all the above mentioned Server's. Can you guys please explain me in the above detail ?with an example. Regards, Sudhir

Hi, As per knowledge, Generally there are 3 server in many cases in sharepoint world (i.e. Front end, Application and database server). WFE server--> Here you actually keep your IIS Application Server--> Here you keep application like: Infopath, Excel service etc Now you may have your QueryServer and Index Server in any one of them OR you may have them separately. See farm setup is totally depends on product license and your client requirement.
