Vista32/runtime error spoolsv.exe
My computer is 2 months old and I am using Windows Vista 32. I keep getting an Interactive Services dialog detection box that says 'A Program Cannot display a message on your desktop'. And when I click to see the message Iget a Microsoft Visusal C++ Runtime Library Errorthat says 'Program C:\\Windows\system32\spoolsv.exe'. It says that this application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way. This error keeps popping up and I don't know how to deactivate it or why it is happening, or what theInteractive Service is. Isn't a system32 file for Windows XP? I think the spoolsv.exe is for a printer, and it looks like the Interactive Service is fornetworking..... Can anyone tell me why 1. I keep getting this error message, 2. how to deactivate it, 3.what the Interactive Service is, and 4. if a System32 is an XP file? Please, help....

Hi, Sppolsv.exe is a built-in system file on the Vista. As you described, it seems like this file is corrupt, I recommend you to perform the startup repair via the following steps: Note: Please ensure that the DVD-ROM is the first booting device. 1. Please insert the Windows Vista DVD and reboot the computer. 2. When we are prompted to press a key to boot from the DVD, please press Enter or the space bar. 3. Choose your language settings, and then click Next. 4. Click Repair your computer. 5. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next. 6. On the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair might prompt you to make choices as it tries to fix the problem, and if necessary, it might restart your computer as it makes repairs. Also, this post appears to concern a product that relate to the Windows Vista. Please post the question in the forum for Windows Vista. Hi,I have the same problem, but I do not have a Windows Vista DVD because when I bought my laptop it was already installed on it (however my copy is legal). I can reinstall the whole Vista from a hidden partition, but that means losing all the data and it would be painful to reinstall all the programs again.Any help on how to repair the computer without the DVD?Thanks
