Very slow access to redirected local client drives (2012R2 - 300sec vs. 2008R2 - 10sec)

Hi all,

I have only very slow access to the redirected local client drives (my local drives (Win7) redirected in a RD session).

Copy/paste and drag&drop is fine, 1-2 sec (~18MB with images). But when I use an application like Wordpad it takes with 2012R2 (Win7->2012R2) 300 seconds!!! I did the same with 2008R2 within the same network and it take only 10 seconds.
(It is the same for the normal mstsc.exe RD session with the whole desktop, RD session with 'start a program' (->Wordpad) and also RD Web Access.

Do I need a bugfix/hotfix or an update!? How is the huge difference between 2008R2 and 2012R2 possible?

Thanks you,

 Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Personally, I am not aware of any hotfix regarding the issue.

As I have suggested in another thread of yours, since further debugging is required to better troubleshoot this issue, please contact Microsoft Customer Support and Services.
