Hi, as Alexey told you - both Standard and Enterprise are supported. If you want to use ACS in a large environment SQL Enterprise is the recommended version because the daily insertion of processed Security events will continue while this will be stopped in Standard edition. Hi John Hope all is well - as you are not using ACS, Standard edition will be fine. The actual configuration of SQL will be far more important than the "edition". http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb432135.aspx If you are considering High Availability then you can even have a 2 node cluster with Standard edition as long as the underlying operating system is Enterprise edition. Thankyou all. It's going much easier than I thought and the STD version is 1/10th of the price of Enterprise, so even the boss is happy (for once). :) JB
