Hello, we are having an issue with the version history of InfoPath documents. When we try to open a prior version in the history list, a page opens in Internet Explorer that displays the XML. In SharePoint 2010, it would prompt to open the client. Is this a bug? How can we get this functionality back? Thanks!

I recommend select Open in the client application in Advanced settings of the library and then check the results.

Please go to the Library Settings of the form library > Advanced settings > select Open in the client application under Default open behavior for browser-enabled documents.

Actually Victorias answer doesn't help. It doesn't matter which of those settings you choose.
