Values in the chart (y axis) are not shown
Hello guys, I have a problem. My report has a chart. Data is retrieved from a dataset and values are from a column (float) and shown in the chart as Y values (vertical axis). This values are 10000, 10001, 10010. The chart contains series values. The chart as for default show data at point 1. After having set in the chart prop. --> y tab --> scale: Minimum: 9050 Maximum: 10050 I do not get values in the chart. What is the problem? Many thank

Hi fasttrack, According to your description, you would like to show values(10000,10001,10010) on Y axis, right? Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. In this case, I am afraid this behavior is by design at present, we can not show values on Y axis directly, but we can show data value with each column (I assume you are using Column chart in your report) respectively, please take the following steps and see if it works for you. 1. Right-click on the chart in your designer surface. 2. Select “Show Data Labels” After that, we can see the data values over each column. If you have any question, please feel free to ask. Thanks, Eileen

Hi fasttrack, I am sorry for misunderstanding. I have tried your scenario on my test environment, and I found that there is no value in design mode, but when I preview the report, I get the chart like below, Is the issue you have got the same as I got? There is no value in design mode, but it is normal in preview mode. If in this case, this behavior is by design. When in design mode, the line shows in chart is not based on the field value, it is based on default value from 0 to 100 number, when we set scale from 9050 to 10050, this range beyond the default range too much , so that, we cannot see the line in chart in design mode. Only when preview, the line is showing based on the field values that we provided. If not in this case, could you please supply simple data structure of your chart and RDL file to us? And then, we could help you better. Thanks, Eileen

Hi, When you go to the axis properties could you try giving suitable value for interval and then try it out again? Regards, Bharath R S

Hello, I still get problem: A simple table: Shops Fruits Sell A Banana 10 A Pear 5 B Banana 15 C Apple 30 Running the chart (lines: series: Fruit, X: Shops, Y: Sell) I get (with default chart setting): on Y: 0 and 1 on x: A, B, C and the list of fruit as series. But the values are wrong. I made another test (chart, without series): X: Shops, Y: Sell Shops Fruit sell A Banana 10 B Pear 5 C Banana 15 D Apple 30 with default chart setting, apart:, setting for Y axis: min: 0 and Max: 50 I get a line from A to D near 0 values. There is something wrong. (A question: How to add a picture?) Any help will be very appreciated

Hi, You can add pictures in your blog and share it across. Coming back to your report, could you please try setting the value of the interval to 10? Regards, Bharath R S

Solved, The problem was due to the following: in the chart prop, in the "data" tab, under "values" --> edit --> in the value there was: =COUNT(fields.... I removed count and now is working. Thanks in any case
