Using workflow(s) to update all items in a list

Hi, First post for me, so I hope this is not a duplicate. I use Sharepoint to keep a list of active promotions for my agents. Each item has a field "Promotion Start Date", "Promotion End Date". and a Status which shows "Open" or "Closed". I would like that field to get automatically updated based on [Today] so that when "Promotion End Date is in the past, the Status gets changed from "Open" to "Closed". I Have created a workflow which is set to start if an item is created or changed, and which will compare [today] with "Promotion End Date" and adjust the status accordingly, then pause for 1 day, then update the item's title with the item's title (basically don't change the title content, but update it so that the workflow starts again). The workflow stops if the status is "Closed" so I don't go into an infinite loop Unfortunately I have created many items before creating the workflow. How would I go about starting the workflow for all other items?
