Using Riverbed devices
Hi,
I have a client who has Riverbed devices installed at all remote site. The question has been asked if it is possible to use these devices as DP and for OSD.
I've never used these devices so i'm looking for anyone who could shed some light on this. What are the pros and cons.
I've read in one place that the Riverbed devices do not support PXE or TFTP so it won't support OSD at remote sites. Is this correct?
Also is there a device that can run a VM, if so would this overcome the above problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

In order to support a DP and PXE role you need Microsoft operting system where the site server can access admin$. Furthermore PXE requires that you have WDS installed.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

In addition to this i found out that you require a RSP from Riverbed which allows youto install an operating system on the device. You can go ahead and then install SCCM onto this platform.
