Using List as RSS Reader

Hi all,

I am trying to use the sharepoint lists as a RSS reader so that I use the list to display a RSS feed in the home page, does anyone knows how to do it?

This is roughly what I hope to achieve :

Go to list settings from SharePoint ribbon, you will see some link like:

https://[SERVER]/_layouts/listedit.aspx?List=%7BF561A296%2DC4F7%2D48F2%2DBA49%2D9A233144842E%7D

Replace listedit.aspx by listfeed.aspx

https://[SERVER]/_layouts/listfeed.aspx?List=%7BF561A296%2DC4F7%2D48F2%2DBA49%2D9A233144842E%7D

Now, add RSS viewer web part to your page and provide above modified RSS link.

Finally you can customize XSLT for the required look and feel in the web part properties.

hello

at first you need to enable RSS on site collection level. After that you will be able to enable it for particular lists and document libraries. See Manage RSS feeds for details.

Hi rupesh, I seem to be unable to find the RSS viewer web part. Is it because SharePoint foundation does not support it?

Ohh I didn't know that, but there are workarounds available:
