Users losing their permissions (SPS 2003)
Greetings!I hope someone will be able to help me out with a situation that has me stumped. I have a SharePoint 2003 environment. There are a couple of users that keep losing their permissions to sites and lists. The users' accounts still show up in the permission lists, however, they are getting an access denied message when trying to accessing the content. To fix the problem, I have to remove their account from the permissions list and re-add it. It's happening to the same two user accounts once a month or so, but no other accounts are having issues (of 1600 accounts). I've tried deleting and recreating Active Directory accounts for the affected users but that did not have any impact.Thank you!

Hi Michele, Did you try to add new site groups? If not, try to add new site groups to combine different sets of rights, then add the user into the site groups, next check the effect. Note: Make sure you either go to the parent–level Web site, or change to using unique permissions for the subsite before you perform the actions above. For more information about subsite permissions, please refer to the following article: Managing Site Groups and Permissions http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointportaladmin/HA011604991033.aspx Managing Users and Cross–Site Groups http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointportaladmin/HA011605001033.aspx Hope this helps.
