Hi,

I'm having a trouble with Office webapps in opening word documents.

I have a document library working with IRM protection.

When I create a document and publish (approving the publish) this document other users can see the document,

but if i overwrite this document creating a draft version (1.0 goes to 1.1) that users can see my changes without publish and approve. This issue occurs only in office webapps, they can't see the changes in word client.

Anyone here already had this issue and can help me?

From your description,  users can see item changes without publish and approve. This issue occurs only in office web apps while not exists in word client.

I have done a test in my SharePoint 2013 and I can't reproduce your issue.

For your issue I'd like to collect the following information:

Please offer a screenshot about how you set IRM protection.

In your Library Settings->Version settings, which one are you choosing for "who should see drafts items in this document library"?

In your Library Settings->Advanced settings, which one are you choosing for "Default open behavior for browser-enabled documents"?

Hi Lisa, Thank for your reply.

I think I solved my problem with a cumulative update for web app.

I made a test today in another server created with an updated webapp and no problems.

We will ask our support team to update there too and i'll post here the results.
