User to only see tasks assigned to them.

I'm not sure how to tackle this one. I have an approval workflow and everything is working correctly. However it appears that when users get an approval task assigned to them and they navigate go to the task list to approve the task, they can see other users tasks as well. How do I fix my security so that when a users gets a task assigned to them, they only see their own task.  and they can only approve their own task.

Thanks

Miguel

There is no really simple way to accomplish this.  The only thing you can do is have the workflow modify permission on the task in the task list after it is assigned to remove other permissions and assign permission only to the user who has been assigned the task.  Otherwise by default all users with approval level permissions can see all the tasks in the approval task list.

Paul,

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any example of how to accomplish that? How would a workflow modify permission on a task in a task list?

Thanks

Here's a walkthrough that uses a workflow to change item permissions.  The one difference is that you will be doing it on the task list, not on the item the workflow is running on, but the process is essentially the same.
