User profile synchronization
Thanks all for answers. Article mentioned is for 2007, not valid for 2010, synctiming does not exist, please advise. I did sync, I delete previous AD profile, created new, sync again, same. Where it came from, for instance: - In CA, user profile is giving right data (for title and department, for instance): Director, Visitor Experience Visitor Welcome Administration I created site, new site, for same user, search is giving next (wrong): Director, Development Development Other issues still remaining, as per my first post. Where it is coming from?

Hello, Issue with user profile synchronization is next: - It run fine, AD in "Configure Synchronization Connections" is set, returning proper records. In edit user profiles, search for any profile, returning proper results, except it is showing: ago\user_name instead of ago.net\user_name. - Then, site: search on site doesn't return proper result. For instance, some of the users are shown as : domain\user_name instead of last, first. What puzzled me more, one user's job title showing right in CA, then in site search is totaly different! What can cause this, say, discrepancy? Thanks, Brano

Hello , This issue mostly happen when your userinfo table from content db is out of the sync Please check if UPA is working fine and also you able to import the users. Have full profile import and then check for the results. Thank you, SUSHD

Whats more, in the site where I can check for user I mentioned above, that user as a member of the site (at Site permissions page) - it is showing correct data. So, the issue is with search database, it is not refreshing data with the most current one - and that is why I have situation with search. Any ideas? Thanks, Brano

A timer job is responsible to sync the User Profile information to Site Collections. You can force this by running stsadmn -o sync The time jobs are: Quick Profile Synchronization Profile Synchronization Check if they have run recently. I have see many a times these issues getting resolved by restarting these services (or the server itself sometimes) A very good article which explains why this happens: http://blogs.technet.com/b/paulpaa/archive/2009/10/01/user-profile-information-not-updated-on-site-collection-s-people-and-group.aspx Cheers! I would suggest you try to delete those users from your site and then run stsadm -o sync command or wait for user profile synchronisation job to complete and then try to add them again. Thanks & Regards, Soumyadev | Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
