User Registration Using self service of FIM
Is there a self service user registration in FIM? i.e A user can log in to URL and answer few questions and register with the FIM , Similar to the Mail IDs we generally create.

Hi Vishnu, I think you have two options here: Create an inbound sync from your Active Directory to FIM where all of your users are pre-populated in the FIM portal. They can then log into the portal using their AD accounts and fill out any additional attributes that might be needed. or You can write your own ASP page that uses the open source FIM client to interact with the FIM Service. This ASP page could gather enough information from the user to create their AD account. The ASP page could gather the information and submit it to the FIM web service. The web service could then use that information to create an account in AD and then put the GUID for the use back into the FIM MA so that the user could use their account to interact with the portal. -Jeremy

Yes, SSPR comes with SSPR Registration. It can be done in portal, but very likely, the user will be prompted to register upon logging on to the machine See http://blogs.technet.com/aho/archive/2009/10/01/forefront-identity-manager-credential-management-part-1.aspx
