User Profile Sync Issue with Groups
Hello I have configured user profile service application for sync of users from AD. all the users appear to import ok and so do the security groups and distribution groups (2306 profiles). The issue I am having is that some of the groups do not show all the members that they should. For example, I have global security group in AD called STUDENTS. It has 1758 members. When I add an Audience Rule for members of STUDENTS, only 26 get added as members. When use Browse to choose the groups I want as members, it says that STUDENTS only has 26 members. Why would this not be picking up all the members of the group? The issue this is causing is that we use target audiences to display the appropriate web parts for the relevent user (staff or student etc). Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated? Hi, Check the remaining user profiles are imported from AD to sharepoint or not. Check there profiles in SSP. Also check if audience rule is configured properly or not. Thanks, Rahul Rashu

It appears that not all the users profiles have been imported even though it says there are 2306 profiles. why would some not be importing and how to I make sure they are imported? Thanks

Hmm, This is the reason why they are not added in audiences. Here this issue is now related to profile import. In your SSP first of all check "Profiles missing from import". Also you need to compare two profiles one is being imported and another not being imported. List out all differences. Then check your import connections and see whether these differences cause any difference there as well or not. I hope this will help you out. Thanks, Rahul Rashu
